How to restring a 6 string nylon guitar. (Microsoft Silverlight video)
I am often asked by beginner guitarist's how to restring a nylon guitar.
It is really easy. If you do it once you will have it for life.
Check out my video below to get an idea of what is required.
Remember that this is really only a guideline and that other people may restring their guitars slighly differently to the way I do it.
Bottom line: If your strings are secured on both sides and do not slip when you tighten the strings to tune them, then you have done it! I can completely change all of my guitar strings in about 4 minutes and so can you, with a bit of practice.
Also check out the FAQ for more information on how to string the guitar and the strings that you should use.
